Myofunctional therapy
How you breathe and swallow shapes more than you’d think. Bad habits — like thumb sucking, open-mouth breathing, or tongue thrusting — can lead to bigger issues with speech, growth, or jaw alignment.
Why it matters
Kids often grow into problems they didn’t even know they had. Adults carry tension or struggle with breathing and don’t know why. Therapy focuses on retraining the tongue and mouth muscles to move the way they should.
How it works
We’ll do an exam, talk through habits, and create a simple plan. Sometimes it’s exercises you do at home; sometimes we work with an orthodontist or other specialist. The goal isn’t perfection overnight — it’s long-term health and easier breathing.
